What to know before buying in Sun City Lincoln Hills
Sun City Lincoln Hills is Del Webb's 55+ community in Lincoln, Placer County, and the largest Del Webb community in California. Del Webb built 6,783 attached and single-family homes on about 2,992 acres between 1999 and 2008, so the community is complete and every home for sale is a resale. Floor plans run from about 917 to 3,068 square feet, all single story. Roseville is about 15 minutes south, and downtown Sacramento is about 30 miles away.
Two lodges anchor daily life. The 68,000-square-foot Orchard Creek Lodge and the 37,000-square-foot Kilaga Springs Lodge hold fitness centers, studios, classrooms, and club rooms, with five pools and lighted tennis courts between them. Lincoln Hills Golf Club has two 18-hole courses. About 500 acres stay as open space, with 27 miles of trails and ten village parks.
Resales have centered near $625,000 to $680,000, from about $525,000 for small plans to $1.3 million for golf-course homes. Two identical homes can carry very different tax bills because of Prop 19 transfers and Mello-Roos bonds that have ended or are still active.
